FibonacciLeonardo of Pisa or Leonardo Pisano (c. 1175 - 1250), also known as Fibonacci, was a Italian mathematician and is most serious seen on the conception of the Fibonacci amounts with his part in using the unveiling through Europe of the modern positional decimal program for writing together with controlling numbers. The ledger was well received throughout civilized Europe and/or had a fundamental affect on European thought, although the use of decimal numerals did not become far flung until the innovation of printing process almost a few centuries later. Leonardo became a guest of the Emperor Frederick II, that enjoyed mathematics to science. In 1240 the Republic of Pisa honored Leonardo, under his alternate moniker of Leonardo Bigollo, by giving him a salary.
